So I printed the directions for all four months this morning.

This one is now on my to-do list:

b/w/b swap
boomerang swap
snowman swap
commissioned baby quilt
mystery bom

(you'll notice that my to-do list looks nothing like one I posted earlier in the year)

WildYard...I know....I am so excited about the exchange....I started this thread hoping it would pull a bit of fun interest between some of us and we are growing every day - I love it!

Sharon,
Don't worry - make adjustments as necessary - that's what I did - and I did a lot of them this time :-).......but this project is a wonderful fun project of small pieces - something new for me - and I have to say that I am thoroughy enjoying it! Now I am already looking forward to May 1st.....I leave for vacation on the 2nd - so I may just get a dab at it before I leave - providing I have the colors in my stash :-)

I am trying this one but my first block did not come out good. I have to try again. I know that it says the first block is 2 1/2 inches but when you add the white what is the measurment for the white border, because I think that is where I mess up, the end block is 4 1/2. I am talking about the January block.

Here is a picture of what happened two sides of my square have edges missing, I know what I did not do was trim it to 2 1/2 on the first square but would like to know the measurements for when I add the white so I can trim then and hopefully not have this problem again.

you're welcome. If you're unsure about paper piecing go to amma's tutorial. it is very helpful.

Besides hating lilies, this is what inspired me to do the crocus instead. They are in my garden, picture taken yesterday.

Try to sew on the side of the pieces. That way you can sew right through the intersection, with the plain white on the bottom. It helps you see if you are chopping off any points.
