Hi Mom-6. I received your block today.... and it is wonderful. I layed it on the inspiration fabric and it matches really nice. Thanks so much, I love it! If you know the block name, please tell me.

I hope you received my block today... or tomorrow...

    hugs, Jup

In the previous post, I showed a photo with 2 blocks on it. The bottom block is one I made called Bessie. When I had it all finished, I realized that the "beige and caramel" fabrics (the colors in the center pinwheel) didn't show very well. They sort of blended in and layed down and died. So I tried something I hadn't ever done before. I got out my Oil Pastels and colored white over the beige blocks to lighten them up, and light brown over the caramel to darken it a bit. Hey, what do you know... It worked!

They both look terrific! I love how the colors came out on them. Looking forward to seeing more of them.

I haven't started on mine yet. I have been playing with my Doll Quilt for the swap this month. I know I need to get my two blocks done and in the mail to my partners soon! Time will run out on me if I don't get a move on! LOL

Jupiter, your Claudia and Bessie are so pretty with your focus fabric. So is Mom-6's block. That is going to be an awesome quilt.

Hi Rhonda and Marcias, I am glad you liked my blocks. This is fun and they are all turning out really nice. Mom-6 did a great job matching up, too.

Today I went shopping for more fabric in the right colors, and it tickled me to buy 1/8th yard cuts... for the price of a yard and a quarter, I have 10 new fabrics to play with.

I am anxious for next month's trade! lol

    hugs, Jup

I don't remember the name of the block. Looked at all the weeks in the sampler and this was the one that spoke to me and said 'make me, make me' I think it was from week 21 maybe??

This is the gorgeous block Jupiter made for me. The colors don't show up very well in this picture taken with my phone. The scraps are from the doll quilt I had made and told her were the colors I wanted to use. Don't know why the teal in hers looks so blue and the teal in my scrap looks so green in the picture. They really look like just lighter and darker teals.
