Here's one I just finished for my husband's youngest cousin's baby. The baby's room was done in lime green (gender neutral!) so I added lots of pink to girly it up!

I embroidered the butterflies after the top was done. I liked doing it that way. Didn't have to hoop a lot of fabric that was going to be cut off afterwards!

Adorable. I love the bright colors. How did you make the butterflies? :)

I have a Janome 350e (embroidery machine). I plan to make a lot of my baby quilts and lap quilts using the embroidery/applique designs that I can find for it!

I like this tip... I, too, hate wasting fabric :) Your quilt is great.

I know from your topic that you embroidered the butterflies. I meant, but didn't ask, did you hand or machine embroider them? :)

Machine embroidered... Would take me moths to hand embroider! I am saving that for my own grandchildren!

Boy I must be more tired than I thought. I checked before I wrote my last post and can't figure out how I didn't see that you had already answered my question. I'm done posting now except to repeat that I love your quilt. :) :) :)

Sweet quilt. I reminds me of cotton candy.
