Pam, I think that border will look very nice.
It looks great with or without a border. If it's large enough I would call a day.You did a beautiful job, I love the movement in it.

WOW! that is very pretty love the color
What work. your done a fabulous job.
I have been seeing your post and the progress of this quilt, it is very nice--I think I need to do one!! I vote for the borders, I think it would give it a nice finish, and I always think bigger is better!! What if she gets a bigger bed??
I think it looks fine as is but if your daughter wants the border it would also look good and you will probably like it more. It is beautiful.
Gorgeous work! I can't believe you did this without a pattern, it turned out beautiful, nice work!
Pam that border idea is perfect - love those fabrics and their darkness will frame and contain that beautiful pattern. I say go for it - all that work so far deserves a top class finish!
That's beautiful!

It's beautiful! Add black as the binding. |
The design is spactular, totally accented wonderfully by the browns. Great job. Yes, I'd buckle down with a border (but you need a week off first!)
WOW, that's beautiful and looks very complicated.
Beautiful!
What a beautiful quilt. I love the colors. You are smart to have done this with out a pattern.
WOW Stunning
It's a beautiful quilt with or without the border. I would think about adding a border if your daughter decides on a larger bed in the future and if she wants to use as a bed spread.
I love this! Let us know what you decide!
I think its beautiful the way it is
WOW that is a stunning quilt. I love it
I say you are done, and job well done. If she wants the black use it as a binding! BEAUTIFUL!
Nice quilt. Good job

Totally beautiful..Love it.
Looking at your quilt just boggles my mind. How in the world did you do that without a pattern? Are you ever talented or what. I envy your ability to create.
The quilt is beautiful.
It's really not hard to do it without a pattern when I have EQ7. All I need to know is the size of block it is based on. Make 4" 4-patch blocks (made up of 2 1/2" squares), and 4" HSTs. I drew the pointed triangle and wedge blocks in EQ and printed them, then the flying geese.
All of the 4-patch (LOTS of them) were done by sewing two jelly roll strips together, cutting them into 2 1/2" sections, then sewing two different sections together. It doesn't take a pattern to tell me how to do all of the individual little blocks and EQ7 tells me the yardage needed. |
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL :D
Beautiful quilt. I would put a border on it. It doesn't have to be fancy, it could be a solid or a print. It would look more finished with a border. Just my opinion
WOW!!!
Gorgeous!!!
