my thoughts, narrow pale blue then a wider dark blue.
Light then dark borders, darkest blue for binding
Wow I really like this layout. Not busy, but interesting to look at.
Wow, I like, & I am not really into blues, but they seem to be growing on me!...
Beautiful.
I love the light and movement in this quilt. Nice layout
Wow! Stunning is the word I would also have to use!
Wow, it's gorgeous!
Truely beautiful. I would do a narrow inner border of your lightest fabric and a wider outer border of the darkest fabric. I would also do the darkest blue for the binding since that is handled the most and will hide some of the wear.
Great stash fabrics! |
Very pretty quilt. Those blues are very nice!!
Beautiful! I don't think it needs a border.
I would do a 2-color border - dark next to the dark, and light next to the light. Maybe a narrow folded piece like piping of the opposite color btw the blocks & border.
Absolutely smashine quilt! Of course, blue IS my favorite color! |
Love it!!!
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!
Blue is my favorite color and that is going to be one very beautiful quilt.
I would use a dark border. The white in the design already stands out from the blue and a while border, in my opinion, is all you would see. It is a beuatiful top.
I love it.
Beautiful! I showed my son, a fan of blue, and he said that it was one he would even like to use. Quite a compliment coming from a 21 year son male!
Love that Blues, It is so very beautiful!!!!!!!!
cool blues - I LOVE blues!
I think just a binding in the lightest fabric would set off the darker hues
Wow - that is just gorgeous! A great mix of blues with light & movement to them...great job. I would think almost any of the fabrics would make a great border(s), so just lay some out and see what strikes you. :D
Oooooh, Pretty.
i love your layout! It is very cool!
I love blues anyway... but your quilt is SUPER COOL! :D

I'd opt for the darkest blue for the border. Sigh. I always do. Look how great the lightest lights look right next to the dark squares on that center diagonal. They're GLOWING. I think a nice wide dark border will just make the whole center sparkle. It's like midnight. However, conversely, if you used the lightest light on the border, you'd get a whole North Pole frigid feel to it. Which could be very interesting. So either extreme, not some value in the middle because that would just muddle the whole quilt. One border. Wide. And matching, not contrasting, binding. imnsho. ;-) ;) |
I like the layout & colors

do you have a favorite blue print in yardage that you can use as an outer border? did you consider piano keys or a braid? this is a great top, depending on what size you want it could be finished as is. JMHO- cw |
Love it.... blues are my favorite.
Gee, this is just so blue-tiful! ;-) LOVE it!!!!!

Love your quilt. It is so pretty!

Love all of the blues and really like the layout. I'd suggest a narrow very light border and a wider dark border. You do beautiful work.
great job
Oh, my goodness, how beautiful!!! I would love one like that. Just keep on doing whatever you are doing, because it is just perfect.
