I bought fabric several months ago, and apparently I had a bit too much coffee and somehow thought they went together. I pieced together enough for a baby quilt/throw and decided I hated it. It looks like Hawaiian shirts mated and vomited out a little scrappy baby.

I took it out today and still hate it, but I added the border...and I'll eventually convince myself to sandwich it.

:oops: On the bright side, I'm planning a vacation...and I won't have to worry about the quilt police yelling at me when I'm sitting on it on the beach.

I love it... I think it's beautiful ...

I saw the picture before I read your post and thought, "WOW! What a pretty quilt." I love those colors and you did a great job on the piecing. I think you're just too close to the project right. In any case, it will sure be a great beach blanket. And you can do whatever you like with your quilt, right? ;)

Don't get made at me. I do like the quilt but it is a little busy. Would I use it? heck yeah I would. It is still pretty.

That's exactly my problem with it. There's nothing to break up the busy patterns. I love the fabrics...just not together.

However, I'm entirely too lazy to take it apart and add sashing. :lol:

I was laughing at your description and DH looked and he said he liked it. He is my best judge of color. I love the quilt. You chose a pattern that goes well with that kind of prints. I think is great.

Ok so I got on the laptop to get a better look at the quilt, I was on my ipod earlier. I really do like it but I still think it is too busy. I wouldn't take it apart either. I would use it and I am willing to bet you will get a lot of compliments about it.
