I'm with some of the other posters....take a wee break from it and come back to it. I had a couple of projects like this, so I know when you come back to it, you feel more driven to reach the finish line. Your blocks are great and it will make a beautiful quilt. Sign me, just one of your many cheerleaders. Don't give up.....you can do it!

I think it's a stunning quilt and will look fantastic when finished. Sounds like you just need to be re-motivated. If that's not the case and it needs a new home, send it to me, lol. I love it. Great job! Keep it up. Can't wait to see it finished.

It is beautiful. Keep plugging along

WOW - what a beautiful quilt this is. The last BIG quilt I made I felt the same way as you. It just seemed to go on and on. I finally had to bargain with myself - no new project until I finished. Of course what I did was find all the fabrics for the new project that I loved but did not start making it until the BIG one was finished.

I like how you used the colors in the different blocks. It has a special old time feeling. I am sure you will like it more as you go along. I have seen Civil War quilts at quilt shows but yours has something special theirs did not. Keep up the good work.

I can see why you have a 'thorn in your side'. Each block bring back a memory of a sad event. If you finish it and don't know what to do with it, I'm sure the Civil War Museum in Kenosha, WI would love to have it. If it is possible embroidery the period of the war on the block that represents that era.

You can do it!!!! Just think about how happy you will be when it's done and how great it's going to look.
