Judy, your quilt is so beautiful! I have already put on a second sashing in black and now I will add the 3 1/4 inch carmel color sashing with corner post. I admire your quilt and the fact you did 25 blocks...I stopped at 16.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. Talk about encouragement... I feel refreshed and renewed about finishing it after all the encouragment. I do love the quilt blocks and when the top is complete I will post a photo. Thank you all again. What a beautiful group of ladies and gents.

I think it will be beautiful when you sash it and complete it. Dont give up - you will love it when it gets finished and quilted. Nice job . Dont give up!

You will be glad to be finished. it is a huge accomplishment. Beautiful work.

No one says you have to finish it now. Give it a rest while you work on something else. When you see it later with fresh eyes, you might love it.

Very beautiful quilt.

I sometimes have to remind myself of what I always told my son when he didn't want to do something:
"If you don't start, you'll never finish."
You've got a wonderful start and are headed to the finish!

I second this! I put a king size quilt aside after having it about half done, and 3 months later finished the top and now I'm handquilting it and I like it alot better now! In fact, I HAD planned to gift it to someone but I like it so much I'm keeping it.

Yours is lovely and will be beautiful when finished.

My thought is to stripe the sashing - the camel color with a narrow stripe of black in the middle. I want it to cover a queen size bed. I will add a narrow border and a wider border to the outside - using two of the fabric in the blocks.

Have you ever worked on a quilt that you just felt you did not want to finish ...but did anyway? I am finishing the quilt, but without joy. Help!!

I know how you feel. It took me 3 years to needle turn applique 17 blocks for the quilt in my avatar it was for my mum. Every time I was tired of it I switched to some thing else for a while then went back to do a little more until it was finally finished. It took me a month to hand quilt it. I wanted mum to see the love I put into it by doing it by hand. So have a break you will feel better for it in the long run.
