Well I have to agree with everyone else in saying that it is a stunning quilt...it really is. I wonder if it's a "sampler" thing? I took a class for a sampler quilt and never have finished that thing. I certainly feel for you.

Your work is lovely! What was your motivation to do this quilt in the 1st place? Sounds like you have a good plan in place to finish this. It would be a shame if this turned into a UFO!

Its going to be beautiful! Why not work on it a little bit a day and work on something else also and eventually it will get done.

Yes, I did the Civil War Tribute BOM last year. I loved making the blocks each month, but when I put it together it was UGLY!! I had to force myself to complete the top. Your blocks are wonderful. Be kind to yourself when sewing this project. There's always your next quilt to look forward to.

I always have several projects going at once, however i do like to "complete my circles". When I come across something i have stored for lack of desire to finish, its a treat to look at it and finish it up, almost like a new project. good luck, i think its great looking so far!

Looks great so far, put it aside for now, then finished it later.

I think we have all been there done that.

I am working on the exact same quilt! I have 3 blocks done so far and am chomping at the bit to get back to it. I had to take time off for some spring cleaning. I hope to do a block or two again today/tomorrow.
I would say put it aside for a couple of days and then go back.

My thought is to stripe the sashing - the camel color with a narrow stripe of black in the middle. I want it to cover a queen size bed. I will add a narrow border and a wider border to the outside - using two of the fabric in the blocks.

Have you ever worked on a quilt that you just felt you did not want to finish ...but did anyway? I am finishing the quilt, but without joy. Help!!

Very pretty blocks; looks like you learned a lot in the process; it will turn out beautiful and you'll love when it's done!
