Rachel -- sounds like you've got some good options. My experience w/ DHs and quilting is -- they mean well, but they don't really know enough to offer sound insights.

My DH does have a good eye for color and design, but he has his own style (very conservative and conventional) and so the advice he gives really doesn't do much to improve my quilts, which are my style (not so conservative, and sometimes more on the quirky side). It was a good day for our marriage when I decided that I'm the quilter, it's my vision, and I'll make it my way. He'll either like the end result or not, and either way, it's fine.

LOL @ your husband!! I think a soft sage green or an apricot will be PERFECT!!

I think the sashing is taking over.

I like the orange with this broader, but if you change the sash to a lighter color, this boarder's colors may be too intense...

I also like the sashing color but is a little loud maybe if you put a thin sahing strip of green between the block proper and the orange sashing it would tone it down and look like leaves> I hate wasting fabric and it means a little reverse sewing to a few blocks so b it. Have fun deciding

I agree. Audition a few other colors like apricot or just a bit lighter orange to see what happens. I like what you did with the flowers!

I like the orange and with the right quilting the baskets can pop out. It is beautiful...

i like the orange it is very springy and lord knows we need springy this year. Beautiful work.

I would use it but I most definately like the yellow color in the border. Perhaps one of the fabrics that make the triangles and have smaller flowers>

Don't alter a thing. It works beautifully. What a sweet DH.
