I got home yesterday day to find a great card from my secret angel! Thank you so much!

I have a pkg ready for Valentine's Day to go out, so ya'll watch your mail boxes in about a week!

I'd take a picture, but hubby had taken ALL of the fabric I "didn't" buy while I was gone, along with what was sent from SQA and tossed it into my sewing room. My room is such a mess at the moment that it just scares me to get in there!

I'm loving seeing all the nice things that are being sent.

My Quilt Angel is so sweet. DH and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniv. earlier in the week. To acknowledge it, she sent me a package stuffed full of wonderful FQ's, 9 of them to be exact. One for each year? Also a couple of rulers that I was really planning to buy for myself, and they sure will come in handy while doing minatures which I have started trying out recently. Also a sweet, very tiny pair of embroidery scissors that I am sure will quickly become my favorite. I made myself wait to open them until I posted a picture of everything I received, but now I can open them and use them and I will think of my Angel each time I do.

Dear Angel: Thank you so much for all of the wonderful quilty things. I loved your suggestion of making a friendship star quilt. I suppose you know my favorite color is purple, but if not, great job on the colors. DH gave me a 2" x 18" ruler and a new Fons & Porter ergonomic seam ripper, which I am sure I will never need to use (lol). I am lucky that he enjoys buying me quilting toys. Thanks again for such a wonderful surprise.

Ohhhhhh what a great angel you have , the material is so pretty, enjoy, and as for the seam ripper, that is for just in case your machine messes up not you.

LOL Of course it is the machines fault... we never make mistakes :roll: :wink:

Hey, I never thought of blaming it on the machine, but usually if I find myself "unsewing" it is because the machine didn't take the right seam allowance, or because it sewed the right piece to the wrong place. I'll be happy to have it when that happens.

My Angel really spoiled me with these beautiful fabrics. I love the floral. I keep thinking about how I might use it. I was thinking about fussy cutting, maybe a snowball block. I just don't know. Any ideas? Thanks!

Lookee what I got today!!! A handmade scarf to keep me warm. It's in beautiful variegated reds, golds, greens, and purples. It's very nice. Also a magnifying glass with a light and it's made so I can put it on my key chain. My angel must know I'm an old lady and need help with seeing. lol She also sent a very sweet card along with it. Thanks a bunch Angel, I love it all.

How nice, I really like your scarf :-D :-D :-D I have trouble finding the key hole at night,,,but that also sounds handy to thread needles, yes I am talking about the magnifying glass :thumbup:

It is so lovely to see and hear about all the wonderful gifts that are being sent out. Quilters are just so thoughtful and wonderful friends.

I am DEVESTATED! Went to the post office to pick up my package and it had been returned! :cry:

We just returned from the USA much later than expected because my husband ended up in the hospital for a week!

I don't know if the package was from my SQA or someone else, the post did not let me know "who" it was from..

IF this were my SQA gift, please, please forgive me. I don't know what else to do except to say that I am sooooo sorry to have missed a package that must have cost a lot of money to send.

I will willingly pay for the costs if someone lets me know what it was.

Awwwww Gran...that suxs....what a sad welcome home..but its not the end of the world!...The good news is that you and your DH are BOTH home safely. The package can be re-sent..whoever it was from...don't worry about that!

Thanks so much for the consolation, I need it! Yep, we are home safe -and doing the time change thing... up +down +up +down like yo-yos. I didn't realize how much work DH was doing until I had to heave-ho the suitcases myself; he was in a wheelchair (much to his embarrassment). Came home to minus temps and lots of snow, more snow to come this evening. Welcome back to the Artic!

So glad you're home and DH is better. What an ordeal for you both. You will get your angel gift, don't worry! We have great angels on our board!! Take care!

Back more to normal, went to pick up our pussies at the Pussy Spa where they spent their Christmas. The vet felt sorry for us and did not charge us the extra time they had to stay. It would have been A LOT of money...

Now they are "pussy footing around" following in our steps and MEOWing for attention to be picked up and petted; obviously their love tanks were on empty. However, their manners have NOT improved... Tried to empty my case with the fabric in it, BUT that was a BAD idea today! They jumped in and we had a real free-for-all because my trying to toss them out of the case was a great game.

Save me and take me away Calgon......

Awe Mom, all that new fabric and new smells is just too much fun!!

Had to go shopping for heart fabric to send th my Angelee :) I will be putting a package together to send out.

Now on to the challenge of how to let an angel know she is loved. Hearts? Chocolate? Fabrics? Something stuffed?

This is so much fun... my brain is working faster than my body wants to go. Off to the local shops for a little SQA reconnaissance.

I got to the store yesterday to pick up some Valentine stuff for my Angel! I need to get some F.Q. in something appropriate for the holiday. tee- hee! I hope that she has a sense of humor!!

Awww! How sad. :( Sure hope your package eventually finds its way to you. That would be so disappointing to go expecting to pick up something fun only to find that they returned it. I'm sure your SQA will send something else as soon as she finds out that you didn't get your first package.

I hope your husband is doing better now. And those kitties are probably so happy to have you back (nice of the boarders not to charge you for the extra time).

I received a gift from my SQA. I am beginning to think it could be Sandpat as my pressie was a BIG soup mug and sitting in it was a frog. Now who else but Miss Patti would send me a frog. Include was a Valentines card (I don't remember the last time I got a Valentines Card) and lovely blue fabric. Thank you, thank you, thank you I love soup and make it a few days a week I eat it for lunch and the soup mug is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!! The fabric will go into my blue and white quilt, the quilt I want to make for ME. WELL..............SQA whoever you are you did good I am one lucky lady.
