I received a package from my secret angel last week...sorry for the late post. I am having issues with my computer at home and will post picks as soon as I can.
I received a cute fat quarter and a kit to make a fabric covered notebook. I can't remember what else right now as the package is home and i am at the library.

I got a nice note from my SQA today. It sounds like she lives where it is really cold. The cheerful card brighten my grey day, it has been raining steadily for several days and expected to for at least 4 more. Just got home from walking the dog and no longer did we get 1/2 block from home it started to rain with 30 mph wind blowing but we did our regular 2 round block trip and Happy (our lab cross) was really glad to be back home and got toweled off. Now she is curled up on her bed. Thanks SQA who ever you are, you really brighten my day.

I have such a lovely SQA....After my really nice gift arrived, I have also received a couple very welcome ecards....

She is also very clever !!!!

We are keeping in touch with each other as she has sent me an email...
now whether she has a SQA email address or is borrowing someone else's address.....it's just so nice that we can keep in touch.

Wow my Angel knew what I was thinking. I have only been quilting for about a year now (sewing for over 30). Most of the quilts I have made were memory quilts or special gifts. I have taken pictures of them and wrote what they were on the back of the picture and they are in a box. Well to day I recieved a "Quilt Journal" from my wonderful angel now I know exactly what to do with my picture. Thank you Thank you Thank you my wonderful Ethel!

My secret angel made a CD for me of her playing the piano and singing. It is an original I'm sure. No name just wonderful piano playing and christian music. But I don;t want to make a copy of it without her permission. I is the most special gift I have ever received in a long time. Kathi Thompson

what a great pattern. I have it also, in fact looking at it last night to do with a package of 5" squares that are valentines. It really is not hard once you look at the instructions. I love those little patterns. We sure do have nice angels in this group.

I finished a twelve hour shift at work and was exhausted. I came home and there on the table was a gift from my angel. Who ever you are you lifted my spirits and made me so happy. Thank you.

As for the UGLY fabric issue. Some of you may remember a couple of threads a while back where I established myself well as the undisputed queen of ugly fabrics. And now it can be known that I have it in TWO colors. Do we really want to go there again?

And guess what Karen...I found some on sale at an LQS, so just for fun I bought a yard! I may use it somewhere for one of the swaps or doll quilts...just to keep the fun going! It's hysterical fabric!

are we allowed to vent on this forum? I joined a block swap(not from here) could hardly wait until I got the results back. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSo disapointed. I just will not join any more. that is just so sad for me. I put my best work into the blocks and don't get the same back. ok enough. the sun is shining in Michigan and that is a good thing. and I see my angel on line once in a while that is a good thing. I am not making any attempt to try and find out who my angel is. I think it will be more fun to find out at the end of the year.

MY ugly fabric?? And they didn't put you in the funny farm when you saw it and just laid on the ground rolling and laughing hysterically!!!! I am shocked. What color is it? I have it in the Brown and the classic grey.

What a good Idea your Angel had! I'll have to keep that one in the back of my mind.

I don't want to know who my angel is so I am not trying to find out and I hope my person doesn't look for me either!!!

I went shopping Monday and bought 2 yards of batiks that i just fell in love with , both in purples!! :-D :-D
Today I got this in the mail from my secret Angel!! And she is an angel! Look what she sent me! 2 pieces of batiks in purples :shock: :shock: And I love them!! They are so beautiful! And a pack of moda charms, that I just happen to have some of, so now I can plan a quilt using all of them. How did she know????????? :shock: :shock: And a very sweet card!! Thank you so much, I will be stroking my material and smiling all evening!! :-D :-D :-D
