Well, haven't been on here for about 5-6 days and had alot of reading to catch up on. Chrickett came thru her surgery with flying colors. Went over Wed and sat with her cause her hubby had to go out of town for the afternoon. We had a great visit. Me and some of the girls from our quilt guild went over this afternoon and took birthday cake and gifts as today is her birthday. Had a great time. She is still laid up and has to take it real easy but can sit up in recliner and walk with a walker a little at a time. We even walked out and sat on her front porch and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon Wed afternoon. Can't wait til she's back to her honery old self again. She keeps me grounded and makes me smile alot. Such a great friend to have!!!

All you ladies have been getting some great stuff and kind words from your angels. And all the heartfelt words from you over the loss of my mom put a real warm fuzzy in my heart. I love you all dearly and sure enjoy being part of this great group. You are all a bunch of great angels and give true meaning to the word "angels". Thanks alot. You'll never know how much this has meant to me.

Oh and mom's little Schi-tzu has fit in great with me and my little Bella. They are great buddies and keep each other great company while I am at work. Seems like she has always been with us. I know she misses her mama but she has settled in just fine. Thanks for the sweet thoughts and comments about her too.

Aren't the fabrics lovely? I just l love them. So pretty.

The tote may be a challenge for my pee-brain, but I will get her done when school's out.

The card is adorable with those puppies and such a nice note to boot.

Happy May Day everyone, I got the best surprise today from my Angel,I have already emailed her to thank her.Just wanted to post pictures of my special package. She sent me 1 yard of the cutest flower packet material,4 packs of flower seeds,a wonderful Quilters World magazine,and the sweatest little Angel pin, which I will wear on my collar Monday on my new Job.She is the best Angel Thank You so much! I love everything!!!!!!!!!!!

i had the best day ever today!! went to a fun quilting class, it was the Eleanor Burns--Day/Night class! It was great. Then I came home and there was a package from my SQA!! I was so excited, I haven't heard(email) from her lately and was hoping everything was okay in her life. (It is by the way, just got a little hectic--I know how that is!!) Anyhow, I got a candle, candy (no I am not going to share with the kids!!HAHA), fabulous fat quarters, marking pen, a really neat journal, lotion and a wonderful magnet and some pins(I can always use more of these!!) I love everything, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I tried to get a pix to upload and something is wrong. The camera took the pix fine but it won't do anything else. Going to have hubby look at it tonight. So hopefully, I post one later on.
Thanks also for the letter and letting me know how you are, I hope that your stress ends soon. Good luck with your veggie garden, we're doing on too. We have no major plans for the summer yet but i'm sure we'll come up with something!! I just love spring and summer-so much to do and things to see. Have fun at the quilt show, I know that i enjoy them very much. Took lots of pictures of the last one i went to and got tons of quilting ideas!! (Like I really needed any more ideas!!)

I got another package from my SQA meme. What fun!!!!
There was a quilt magazine with some really fun patterns I think I am going to make the Bubble Bath ducky pattern for the next baby quilt. I just love it. There was also a pattern by Cottage Quilt Designs for a tablerunner that looks like something I can make for my DIL, it will work for her dining room. She included a very pretty nail file and then a set of 12 handmade cards that she made with her scrapebooking event. They are wonderful and I will enjoy using them for future notes. My camera needs to be charged before I can take any more pictures but I will try to get some posted soon. Thank you, so much SQA Meme. You really brightened my day.

Yesterday was my birthday and my angel came through for me.
She treats me so well. I got all kinds of stuff for my birthday: fat quarters, bread basket with a homemade liner (beautiful), candy, more materials, a quilt puzzle, a bear angel. Plus more it was just a big surprize. I even got a homemade birthday card.
I just loved everything. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! You are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi SQA: Thanks for the wonderful surprise patterns in the mail today. I really wonder how you do that. Every time life gets a little rough you send me a gift that really makes me feel better. In December please share that with me so that I can pass it on to my Angelee. The pattens are wonderful and I love kokopelli, I collect everything I can find with him on it as well as anything Navajo. I have a collection of Turquoise jewelry that I have been collecting for years and just visited the reservation on our trip out to New Mexico and Arizona so these patterns fit me to a T. Thanks so much and hope that your life calms down. I surely understand how life gets in the way.

Quick note to my Angelee, i have two broken cars in the drive way and wont be getting them fixed in time to go to the Post Office for Mother's Day so your gift will be a little late.

I got another box from my SQA today, but I'm going to wait until Sunday to open it, since I suspect that it's a Mother's Day gift. :) It's hard...but I'm going to behave myself until then!!

I got a squishy, and Mother's Day card today. The fabrics are perfect! I've needed red and black fabric for a quilt. Couldn't have come at a better time. The candy is great but daughter ate most of it. The little hearts are just perfect. Thank you so much you made my day. :D

I got the nicest 'Welcome to spring' pkg from my SA today. I have the most thoughtful angel ever!! :-D I got three FQs, two note pads, a Sew Slip, a quilt book and a nice card. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I really love everything you got me and the thought that went into the gifts. Thanks again!!! You are the best!!! :lol:

Thank you SQA! I got my card in the mail yesterday! It is darling!

A Sew Slip goes on the area on your sewing machine around the needle. It's tacky on the bottom and slippery on top so it's easier to move your fabric around when free motion quilting. It's a cool gizmo and I've been looking at them. The book is American Jane's Quilts for All Seasons by Sandy Klop. Got some great stuff inside.

Janstar I love the 30's fabrics. One of my favorites.
