My Crazy SQA- I just moved my sewing machine (one of them) and found the box of cookies you sent me for Valentine's Day. They are yummy. I hid them from dh and ds in case they came in the room. I guess I hid them from me too- but they are even more yummy since I'm not supposed to have sweets now. (I do only eat 1 so the box will last a long time.)

we arrived home from vacation about midnight last night, went to the post office to collect all the mail and there was a special mother's day surprise from my angel, a beautiful scarf! thank you!!!
sorry i missed mother's day...well, i didn't miss it, i just wasn't home for it.

How long does it take to make a purse? The patterns are very pretty. Maybe I can get my oldest to help me. Hey we could have matching purses, oh wait lol forget it what if we mixed them up one day. Well same pattern different fabric- there we go hehehee

everyone is getting such pretties, it is nice to know that it is May and we are all still going strong with sending pressies to our Angelees............yiiiiiiiippppppppeeeeee for us!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, haven't been studying. :oops: I never signed up to go back even after I talked to the counselor numerous times. It ended up being to expensive for us. But, I have been working :) I didn't realize that the promotion I got would end up making my job so physical. I'm literally in constant motion and I get so worn out some days. I have 3 days off in a row coming up so I hope to get some sewing done. Also, the local quilt shop has expanded to offer more than reproduction fabrics and I havn't been in to see so that is also on the list. :P

I love the bobbin holder! Who would of thought there would have been such an easy solution to hold ones bobbins!

I want to apologize to my quilt angel for taking so long to acknowledge her gift. I received it last week. Things have been so crazy I still haven't taken a picture but I have been enjoying the gift. She sent me a little book of quilting tips and life tips in the form of scripture verses. Also she sent a neat little hook that you place on the edge of a table to hold your purse so you don't have to sit it on the floor. I'm enjoying both of them. I think I need to say "THANK YOU" to my SQA. I got some fat quarters and a very nice Mother's day card ..I have been out of town and I kept meaning to say thank you and just getting to it...I am so sorry!

I would like to thank my SQA for the wonderful card and squares of blue fabric. I love them both and it is nice to know that I am being thought of. Thank you so much....

Another update on Chrickette. She has still been having headaches and went back to doctor yesterday. He put her back in the hospital and flat of her back under special care. Seems everyone has a small sack on the side of their spine that has spinal fluid in it.....hers has a hole in it and won't quit leaking. They are going to do surgery again Monday and put a patch on it. Will be Wednesday at the earliest before she gets out of hospital. I am so worried about her. Sure hope they get her fixed for good. Her back surgery has been healing great and incision looks real good and no problems with it, just the leaking spinal fluid causing headaches ten times worse than migraines. Can't imagine. Makes her dizzy and nauseus.

She said to tell everyone hi and to tell her SQA that the chicken socks you sent her last time were a smash when she was in the hospital having her surgery. She wore them and all the nurses loved them and thought they were a hoot!!!

Everyone please keep praying for her. I will keep you all posted with updates. Thanks, Sandy

I must be very emotional today because receiving your gift in the mail brought tears to my eye. What a great encouragement on a rainy Monday.

I love the quilt pattern you sent me. "Civial War Legacies", "Edwards Quest". I have struggled lately with my quest for calm in peacefulness in my world as your letter encourages me to do. I will keep moving forward in my quest.

The "Secret Message Bible Word Search" book you sent me also touched my heart. A few weeks ago a beloved lady from my church passed away at 83 yrs old. She was a like a grandmother to all and loved to do wordsearches. It is perfect for me to take outside while I watch the kids play in the yard. As I complete the puzzles I will be thinking of "Grandma Jane" and also praying for you as well. Thank you for the inspiration.

If you were here with me in person I would be hugging the breath right out of you.

Secret Angel, got the Fons and Porter book. I had not renewed that one this year. I can only read so many! Loved the paper peicing and someday will get the nerve to try it. We have a gal in our church (kinda new) who says she will do a program on it soon!
Yes, you asked if I had lot of flowers in bloom. I did untill a terrible hail storm ripped them apart yesterday. I was going to dead head some roses today and we have no roses left. I had flowering moss in 2 pots and now there are stubs of a plant. We cleaned the front yard all morning and will start on the back tomorrow. Hubby's car was out of the garage and got quite a bit of hail damage. But no damage to the house. Will have the roof checked next week.
I am so anxious to know where you live with snow, I think it must be far north.
Yes, it so much fun to shop and send to my angel and she is always happy with what I send.

I got an unexpected surprise in my mailbox today! I was from my SQA. She sent me 10 3 1/2 inch strips in shades of blue from light to dark. These will be fun to make something with. I think I will use them to make a crib size quilt. She also sent a seam ripper with a magnifying glass on it. She must have known that I spent six hours this week ripping out some of my quilting. As I was ripping I was thinking "boy, it sure would be easier if there was a magnifying glass on here". I think my SQA can read minds. She also sent some tea and a crocheted flower. Thank you my angel.

I received a wonderful card, loved it, and a tote pattern from my SQA in the mail yesterday! :-D The tote takes 2 charm packs to make, which I already have, so I am good to go, as soon as I can fined the time :lol: :lol:

My mailman just showed up with a package from my SQA!
I got a pyjama set with a diaper shirt, bib, hat and receiving blanket (love those things, they're awesome!) and a towel set too, all with little ducks on them :D and also a pattern for a shopping buggy insert, kidney pillow, bib and diaper/tote bag. I can't wait to dig into my fabrics and start on these~
