My angel has been sooooooooo sweet - look at the goodies I got on Saturday!! I LOVE the fabrics SQA - you are the best. Great card too...makes me feel so loved.

I'm also posting a photo of the fabric you had Terri get me in Viet Nam - isn't it fabulous?? I LOVE it too - just need to figure out what to make with it!

I got a package from my SQA yesterday! In it was a magazine, a card and an Angel but the bad thing is it came broke so I will try to fix it to today so I can post pics! Thank you to my Angeleee your the best!!! :)

I think I posted thank you for your last package, but I know I never did a picture to post, sorry about that. I have been thinking of a something to make at the end of the year with the FQ you have sent me. Haven't come up with a project yet.

Today I received a pkg from my SQA that contained two strands of lites to hang up. They are so cute -- the covers for the lites are little red quilt star blocks. I've not seen anything like these around here, so I'm really excited. They would be cute on a country xmas tree, but I'm going to hang them up in the sewing room, just like SQA suggested. I'll post a picture when I get them strung up after my trip up north.

(Note to SQA - you asked about my favorite colors....right now I'm going through a wild, bright stage -- influenced by a close friend who had a gift shop with a lot of tropical and Mexican mdse. I went on a shopping trip with her to Larado before the drug gangs took over and came home loaded down with ceramic pottery and carved animals and wild woven stuff and silver stuff and, etc. I immediately painted my walls at home in oranges, golds, terracotta, bright yellows, dark greens. I love tropical prints and big florals in blues, magentas, oranges, pinks. I always lean towards Kaffe Fassett type prints -- and I've gotten several of his quilt books that are getting soggy from all my drool. His stuff is eye candy of the highest order. And to go along with all the Mexican/tropical stuff, I still like the lizard/frog/turtle prints you sent. I used to like "country" but over the years have gone eclectic and have donated all the "Americana" type stuff to whoever would take it. Color and wild prints and nature all make me happy. So my walls are full of sun faces, talo vera plates, coconut painted faces, big tropical florals, lizards and frogs and herons, and anything else I can get a hook on. Sorry I rambled on so much -- it's almost 1 a.m.and I can't get to sleep. I'm doing the nite-sweat bit right now and the high temp and humidity are not helping.)

And finally, thank you so much for thinking of me and for your sweet card. I hope your family emergency is resolved and you are enjoying peace and good health.

PS to SQA -- I went thru a basket-weaving phase for about ten years and have over a hundred of them stuffed everywhere with greens and dried stuff. It was making me crazy, so I had to finally stop making them. But it goes with all the "nature" stuff I like. Twenty years ago I never would have thought that lime green can be a neutral color.

Thank you to my SQA! We received a lovely card and pattern today, I'll post pic when the camera is done charging. You're always thinking of ways to get us sewing together! Love it! I'm sure when school is out we'll be off sewing.

I have to find the darn camera! :thumbdown: My husband brought the mail up yesterday and was curious over the return address because he doesn't know any "Laverne." But I know who she is and was really excited to open the card. We both laughed when we saw it. That little bird is a great love here in Norway. There is an entire island of them here in this area!

I got a big box today from my SQA Meme. What a lot of fun things! I love the material, reminds me of what the fish would see if they were real. I have never had Swedish Fish candy but know I will like them as they are chewy, and I love chewy candy and a bonus they are fat free. LOL. My greatgrands love the Goldfish crackers so we will have fun eating them as a snack the next time we get together. The raffle ticket for the Basset Hound Rescue will give me something to look forward to. I hope Meme will win if I don't. We had a basset hound many years ago and he was one of the best dogs we ever had. Such a character. He was kind of a rescue dog because he used to run away from a very mean owner who would beat him and he would escape to one of my friends feed store and they called me when 'Tuffy' came limping in one day and I took him home. I will have to learn how to do the Sudoku puzzles, I tried doing some advanced ones while flying from Redding to Washington DC. I am glad this book has easy ones and the answers too. I promise not to peek. Thank you so much.
