Ya'll are having way too much fun with your yoyo makers. I don't have one but Chrickett lets me borrow hers. Aren't they fun??? I love seeing them used as 3D flowers on quilts, wall hangings, etc. So prescious!!!

it was lots of fun! if you would have seen me you would have laughed because I did it SO slow and read through the directions step by step. then when it was time to pull the string I did that even slower,LOL

I remember when you had to make the yo-yo's using a circle of cardboard and how labor intensive they were...this was way before there was a yo-yo maker. I don't have one but then I'm still learning the bare basics of quilting.

Yo-yo making must be in the air!! I just bought 2 new ones -- one does a flower and the other a butterfly!!! :lol: :lol:

I received a giant box from my Angel today. Thank you so much. She sent all kinds of fabrics, thread, a couple books, a plastic holder for little things or glasses (I just got a new pair), a pattern, and more items. There are too many to name. I also love the cat and kitten fabric. I think I might make these into little pillows for my nieces for Christmas or their Birthdays. She also asked if I could post some of my favorite colors. My favorite colors are green, blue, and pink. I am happy with anything though. Thank you again for such a great gift. And thank you for the birthday wishes!

Well I will admit I am a yoyo.. it took me 4 trys to get it right.. so yea hat sorta puts me in the yoyo catagory.... But I am ok with this.. LOL

When I got home last night, I had a package sitting on my dining room table. Inside were 2 yards of fabulously fun flower fabrics. They are great. I don't know how I will use them, but I know I will have fun once I figure it out. Also, a great table runner pattern. I still have those fat quarters from before that I haven't used yet, hmmmmm????

I got a 2 page letter from my angel this week. Will try to answer it today. Computer problems in the office. Hope to have it back today. I love jelly beans Black are the mostest bestest there is. Thanks for thinking of me EVERY day. You are the best.

She strikes again lol- My angel is AWESOME! She sent me lots of fabric and it all matches perfectly. I got a book with 200 different block patterns, candy and a card. The fabric is so very pretty. I don't know what to do with it yet, but I am sure I can find it in that book lol- THANK YOU ANGEL

To my SQA, just got the beautiful quilt post card you sent to me in March. My apologies for not acknowledging sooner, my son is the one who takes care of all of the mail while I am in South Carolina with hubby on the site he is working on. Anyway to make what could be a long story shorter he tends to focus on just telling me about what bills come in(ugh):-) Just got into Louisiana late last night from South Carolina for a short time as I have an uncle who is very very sick and not expected to make it thru the weekend and I just had to get home to see him before his time. He lapsed into a coma this morning before I got there but he did know who I was when I talked to him as he squeezed my hand when I told him I was there. I am taking this very hard, he is my godfather as well as my uncle and I am very close to him. This is just breaking my heart.
Sorry did not mean to go off on this tangent but it helps to put it into words.
Anyway I got this beautiful quilting post card from my SQA wishing me happy quilting. Thanks so much for the card and well wishes, it has lifted my spirits a bit today. Maybe it was meant for me to not get it until now. Thanks again SQA I truly appreciate it.
