I think pieced quilt backs are fine. I take any left over scraps from making the front...and use them on the backs. I am not taking any more scraps to my scrap bins! I'll sew fabrics together into 3 x5 inch bricks..so nothing is wasted. It's fun to just sew without worrying about points, matching seams etc!

Love to see all your great ideas. I'd like to share a couple of my backs with creative labels but don't know how to add them here, from my Picasa file.

Wow aren't you clever.......and now you have to show us the fronts :) Happy quilting.

Love your backs! Especially ones with names. Also one with initials. I'm working on a grad quilt for my DGKs. Boy in 2 yrs, his bro & oldest DGD the very next, then next yr her sis, then 2 yrs later another DGD, 2 more another girl, 2 more another girl. I just pray I have health & mind to finish!!
The name on back is such a great idea. Where did you get pattern? Are they appiqued? Thanks to all for sharing!! |

Here is the pieced back I spoke of earlier using neutrals from brown to white. Only a portion is showing because I don't have anywhere big enough to lay it out!
