Melissa-is that pattern called Second Hand Clothes? I saw it on Bonnie Blue. What is going to be the finished size of the quilt? How long did it take you to make all the blocks? You have been VERY busy!! :lol:

Oh Marcia I forgot to answer part of your question. I started it on june 7th so about 2 weeks but there were a LOT of days I didnt get to work on it The one day that I did get to sew all that I wanted to I made 60 blocks. So it could very easily be made in just a couple of days.

Melissa that is awesome. It looks fab. I keep loooking at it and can´t understand how you did it. Looks like so many little pieces.

What beautiful colors! This will be a spectacular quilt! Any plans on how you're going to quilt it yet?

I cannot believe that you go to work, keep house, baby sit, work the fields and STILL get that made in a couple of weeks!!! Do you not sleep???

Now Marcia, I said it COULD be done, not that I did do it in a couple of days! :lol: But then I was only counting piecing the blocks too, probably better add another day or two to put it all together. (so it will probably take me a couple of more weeks) :lol:

edit; I read your post wrong , thought you said days instead of weeks.

I don't think lining up all those seams is easy!! I have to rely on a trusty magnet to hold my 1/4 seam.

All those little quite blocks in a nice neat row made me pass it by. :roll: Mark chose a different pattern... maybe I'll let him decide if he likes this one better. :D

I am sorry... I forget not everyone has a machine dedicated just to quilting. The only sewing I do is either quilting or making kites, also with 1/4 inch seams. I have several layers of tape on my machine right at the 1/4 inch mark. When I piece, everything goes to that mark, all seams are pretty accurate and consistent. When I quilt, I take the tape off and retape it when I am finished.

My latest project has been a Sunshine and Shadow (Around the World). Wait till you see all the seam junctions in that one. If you do your pressing right, they all fall into place. I haven't even been pinning anything except the very long seams just to keep top and bottom from wandering.
