What a shame. Hope you find something to get it all out.

Don't throw in the towel just yet...try some of the suggestions on the following site.....keep us posted. You are not the first quilter to do this and unfortunately you won't be the last....

So sorry about the ink. If you can't get it out, I think Ditter has a great idea to quilt over it in dark thread and make it look intentional!!

Yikes! I use pens to trace on the back of fabric (like if I'm using a template), and today I used one to make tiny little dots to mark so my quilted triangles would be even - but I made just a dot where each point should be and kept them on the other quilted threads so it wouldn't show up.
So sorry about the ink not coming out - it's such a lovely quilt. Hopefully some of the suggestions offered here will work! |
You can make templates for quilting out of freezer paper.....draw the shape, cut and iron (shiny side down) sew just off the paper, peel and iron again.....NO PENCIL MARKS REQIURED.....look this technique up online for further info.....we learn from all our boo boo's....

I can just imagine how sick you were when you discovered what had happened! Sure hope one of the suggestions here works for you! What a bummer!
