Why are you saying it is not pretty! It was thoughtfully designed for somebody that cares, it was perfectly designed and executed, great contrast and multi-crafted!
great job. Let us know what he said!
    :-( I wish I was a full time quilter!

That's a great quilt. He should love it.

Well, I would have to say that I am a little upset (figuratively speaking) that you said the quilt isn't pretty. I think that it is a GREAT design and the you the aunt are extremely thoughtful.

Both my husband and I are impressed with it.

If there were a red hour glass shape on the back, it would be a black widow spider.....I hate spiders, but am totally impressed with your quilt. Its the best example of what a quilt should be -- made exactly for the person you made it for, and you nailed his interest in spiders. Wonderful job!

You did a great job designing this. And I love how you used the quilting to accent the piece-work. Very clever!

Just what I was thinking. Some people think spiders are pretty. Grrrr. They give me the willies. But your quilt is awesome. And it's even more special because you designed it yourself. He better love it!

"Piecin' a quilt's like livin' a life...The Lord sends us the pieces, but we can cut 'em out and put 'em together pretty much to suit ourselves, and there's a heap more in the cuttin' and the sewin' than there is in the caliker...I've had a heap of comfort all my life making quilts, and now in my old age I wouldn't take a fortune for them."
