it is just awesome! When I do quilts like this that are very geometric, I usually have a simple pantograph like clouds or wind that quilts it but does not detract from the design. I find SID tends to give the quilt too much texture and detracts from the baskets and such. Jmho.

You can do the simple stitch in the ditch in rows so each block is showcased. So the quilting doesn't take away the beauty of the blocks.

I have used my decortive stitches from my machine. Will post a picture of what I mean.

its a beautiful work of art...I'd love to see pics of it when it's completed and I'm sure it will be even more beautiful once you have it completely finished

Thank you for the pictures. I use a bernina 820 machine, so there are lots of stitches to choose from. Will keep this in mind.

SOOOO pretty! If it was me I would just do an allover meander so the quilting does't detract from the beautiful piecing Just my opinion :)
