I would put boarders around your blocks, because it would frame each block. I look to flowers for inspiration, so I would go with a purple, you always see purple and yellow flowers in flower beds together. A Christmas green, or a deep blue would be colors that would go nicely with your blocks, too. Would love to see it when you are finished.

I like the purple idea iris colored maybe? or a soft blue cant go wrong. IMHO orange is too bright you have a ton going with the yellow. what about white sashing thin white border then a wider border of the purple or blue? p s lay out some colors between then a few blocks on top with say the 2 inch spacing? you can see what color you like best take a pic of each color then go look at your pics suprise you will like one!

sashing or border - i thick thicker...totally agree. I love the size of the blue one, I would also use a print, o black or dark heavy color. I would not go orange either. Uless you really like it bright.

You are totally right on....I agree have the daughter decide on the color.

I was thinking a beautiful turquoise, but orange is a good idea, too.

A light blue which is opposite of yellow on the color wheel would set it off nicely without detracting from the blocks.

Depends on who it's for, but even a red would make this pop or black.
