I like the maroon but try laying block next to green or lavender. There are so many beautiful colors in the blocks any one of them would be terrific.

A friend of mine uses the camera in black and white to judge all her quilt colors before making any blocks and again uses it after making up a block or two to be double sure she will like the mixture. Yes it works. I have not done it.

Pretty blocks. Maybe put the blocks with the dark green in the corners -- they are pretty, but do pop in the body. For sashing, I would also audition a green or other color from the blocks. Depends on the look you want, the blocks are such pretty pastels that you could pull out one of the colors and make a more pastel quilt.

Yes - I originally did one out of scraps and showed it to my mom and she liked it so much that she wanted to make one. So she went out and bought all brand new fabric....I had to laugh...I told her she was suppose to use her scraps up...she didn't get it.

I keep looking at this beautiful color combo, and I think sashing would hold the ziggies but I don't think the black border would be the right color for it. I keep seeing either hot pink or bright purple for the borders. Hope this helps. 8-)
