I like both. They both work for two totally different quilt looks. You have made a start on two quilts......good for you!!!!

I like ther traditional fabrics in this one, but that's just me. If you're sick of them, just send them to me.

Getting close to getting them all finished...but not sure how much longer I can go. I'm beat and I have to get up at 4 am so I don't think I can get them finished tonight....but I will try. :)

That would be a hard decision but it is your world and your
quilt. Do what you like the best.

I love the scrappy ones! They are both beautiful, but I think the Dresden plates lend themselves to the scrappy fabrics. Please show us when you are done!!

2 of my favorite mediums. Scraps and batiks. Love them both.

Love em both - but the batiks will give you a different look. I would be tempted to go out-of-the-box even more and set them in a Grandma's Fan-type setting and add some glitz and glitter. The effect would depend on what color backgroud you choose for your blocks. Black? Beige? I would probably go with the black batik and definately use gold as part of the glitz and glitter.

I'm more of a traditionalist, so I think I prefer the first picture. The batiks are gorgeous, but for this pattern, I would use scraps of everyday cottons.... just my preference, and I'm sure there are a multitude who prefer the batiks. Why not mix and match them in the same quilt? See how that looks.
