Very pretty block - now I'm curious to see it in the rest of the quilt!

stunning block... it would be a beautiful finished quilt but does look a little daunting. (maybe because I'm still plugging away at the BH Allietare) but you could tackle it one block at a time.

Lovely block but the center needs to be darker (maybe a medium) so that it stands up to be noticed and balances the block. I think that as you make more of these blocks and join them the outer portions will look increasing dark because they will be close together. The centers will recede more. You could make another test block to see what you think.

Beautiful. I,too, would leave the colors as is. Would chain piecing the 1/2 square triangles make it go faster?

Just want to chime in with a compliment on how beautiful this block is. You've had lots of suggestions on how to simplify...I'm just wondering how many you want to make? They look like a lot of work, but worth it.

Truly beautiful. I too would be concerned about the bias edges using the 10"square method and concur with some other members' suggestions for making HST's. I love the blue and white.

I think the colors are perfect. That white on white background is really nice.

Exchange the grey and the light blue.
