I think another thing that happened is the deep red has oak leaves on it, but when cut that direction in 1.5" strips--it turnes into stripes. (Tiger stripes)

Hm I like it. And it looks exactly like early fall to me, like the beech, pine, mushroom, fern woodlands in Northern Europe where I grew up... some leaves are falling and some of the ferns are still green. You could always advance the season a bit by adding brown-leaves borders and binding, and using golden brown thread to quilt.

I like it. It's like it shows the transition of summer to fall. I don't think it's jungley at all.

I like the table runner with 8 blocks rather than 10--otherwise it's too long. So, I'll make enough blocks for two table runners... then maybe the wall hanging will be like this:

I can call it "Fall Inside Out." hee hee

It is a beautiful piece. I personally would add the fabric that has the bright orange in it. I love fall with the oranges and reds. IMHO.

maybe its cause all ur fabrics are larger, busy prints? I am attracted to those fabrics too.....lots of the tops that r so pretty and some very simple, plain fabric, like the dull golds and tans/bieges. They r not very fun but boy, they sure add to the quilt contrast.

I'm a turkey / deer hunter, so I love ur quilt just the way it is.
