I like your quilt. Looks like a man's quilt. Please finish it. After you border and quilt it, it may just "grab" you.

I don't think there are any ugly quilts if they are made with love.

I have a number of boy quilts to do for next Christmas. I love your idea and am going to do that to use up some of the fabric I already have! Thanks for sharing!

I would use the solid green you have used in the quilt already and then add a wide dark brown border to frame it. I hope you do not give up on this quilt. I like it.

That's exactly what I was thinking then I read your post.
My DGS is 7 he says will I make him one just like it.

I like it! Please don't give up on it. You might try a neutral border, like a med. taupe, either blender or small print and then a dark border of one of your colors in the quilt or multi colored binding. Quilting will make the difference. Edited to note* If you decide to gift it to someone , I promise to finish it and cherish it.Just pm me.

that looks like some of my grandmothers quilts. Isee nothing wrong with it. It looks more"country original" than most quilts I've seen here.

Aw, you have to finish it and donate it. Someone is going to be so delighted to have a snugglie that can be dragged around and washed many times. I can see little arms just hugging it.
