I recall you posted some pictures a while back of your DD newfound piecing ability, which was quite remarkable (chip off the old block type remarkable)... Perhaps you can enlist her help?
I think it is stunning. Doesn't the visual result of seeing them laid out make you like the block a little better?

It is very pretty. How about three center rows and some LARGE boarders. Done much quicker

Yes, those do look like complicated blocks. I wouldn't even attempt any
block with 36 pieces to each one!!!!

But, you are our marvel, Shadow, and I believe you will get it done.

(Maybe, you could put some plain squares between the complicated ones, it would go faster and I think it would still be beautiful........)

That really is pretty. I think we all have at least one pattern like that. Looked good til we started making it and then we hate it. Anyway, good luck on getting it done. I'm sure it's going to be wonderful. And I bet he will love it.
