With double knits (not single knits like t-shirts) a stabilizer is not needed. It will hold its shape. Also, these are so heavy that, should you make a quilt of them, a batting is not needed. I have also found that tying works better than trying to quilt.

I love it and if you want it in a quilt use light weight enterfacing to iron on back and cut to quilt with. I have done this before and the quilt is still retaining its shape after being washed over a dozen times now. Good luck with your choice as to what you do with the fabric. Or I would love to buy it.

Here's what someone suggested when i showed them my "ugly quilt."
Cut it up and re-arrange the pieces, add new fabrics where you see fit.
I did this and the results were surprising. It makes your new quilt look more complicated and , actually, now I like it. (Think of a strip quilt, for example.)

i used to make my dresses out of knit. it washed and dryed so easily. now,with hot flashes, i use cotton. but it always always need ironing.
that's not really ugly fabric. hope someone takes it.
