All your work is beautiful but I absolutely ADORE the Colour Palette, and I add my condolences for your Mum and a cyber hug. Sewing has helped me through hard times too...

I realize now that the only thing in my life that is consistant is my quilting and my children - how lucky I am.

Oh Teresa, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. I lost mine almost 2 years ago and my Dad just two years before that. I actually quit quilting for almost a year...just didn't have the passion for much of anything. I applaud you for continuing to sew. It really is healing, isn't it? I resumed last year and am so glad I did. I'm down in Lancaster...any chance you'll be coming to the quilt show at the new convention center next month? I've signed up for the Ricky Tims concert, one class and a couple of the lectures. Should be a fun time! If you'd like someone to walk through the show with, just send me a note!

Here's a little something for you...
Cross your arms in front of you.
Bend your elbows and put your left hand on your right shoulder blade and your right hand on your left shoulder blade.
Close your eyes and slightly bring your elbows together without moving your hands off your shoulder blades.
    Take a cleansing breath.
...There, I just sent you a HUG!

As you read through all these messages you know you are not alone. Some are fresh, some are not. The important thing is to work through your greif, cherish the memories and build memories with your children. Don't get stuck, keep moving forward. You do beautiful work and I'm sure your parents and husband would want you to keep shining through your work.
    --Love and prayers.

Theresa, my heart goes out to you. I can truly say I have walked in your shoes. I lost my mom on Dec. 8, '86, my uncle on Christmas Day and my dad on March 5, '87. It was the worst 3 months of my life and it took many years to realize that I had not grieved because everything had hit so fast w/lightning speed. Be sure to give yourself time and be good to yourself. I can honestly say that I miss them still every day. But even good things can come from bad; the beginning of June of '87 I found out I was pregnant after being told I could not have children and 13 years of marriage. What an incredible 6 months of emotions, both high & lows. When God closes a door, He opens a window. Sending you hugs, prayers and many blessings.
