I am starting a controlled scrappy stars quilt. Today I cut the pieces and started making the 8 at a time HSTs. 20 blocks so I'll be at it a while. Had to take a break as my legs, back, arms and neck are all complaining. LOL

4boys that is so pretty, love the bright colors w/ the white.

Linda love the magic 8 method it is my favorite.

I didn't get much sewing done today. My machine was sewing along just fine then suddenly the tension is way off, I tried everything I could think of but couldn't fix it so decided to figure out the main part of the lay out of the Frosted Elsa Plates. Most of these aren't sewn so the placement is a bit rough for seam edges (overlapping and such). Also had to bring my scaleless chicken in (torrential flash flood type rain and a cold front coming in overnight) so decided it was time to work on her autumn clothes, her name is Cricket

Cathy, that is a show stopper, love it. Everone's pictures are great. I haven't done a thing in sew long I don't know if I can remember how to quilt! I am on here for some inspiration and I think all of these fine quilts are giving me a lot!

I'm on the end run of half square triangles, whew! 504 of them. Next, I'm cutting up a jelly roll to make 4 patches.

Wow, I'm only making 160 HSTs and dragging at that. I decided to do 5 sets at a time rather than all of them at once. It's mostly the squaring up that takes so long. Today I finished the first 5 sets and made those 5 star blocks. Next 5 sets coming up tomorrow.

    Default 2 projects going on

I started working on my Florence Flamingo quilt, couldn't decide on borders, so set it aside, ordered fabric for the borders, while waiting on that to come in, started my Pineapple quilt I have been laying awake at night dreaming about starting, ran out of the fabric to finish my crowns with, ordered that, while waiting on that to come in, it was time for the 10th birthday bash at Missouri Star Quilt Co, I have been counting the days before I could go to that, came home with about $600 in fabric and a ton of freebies..
