Excellent way to recover from an oops! I like the name you chose....Wisconsin Spinning Star! If it had happened to me, I would have tossed it aside in frustration. You have inspired me to try something new the next time that happens. Thanks! And be sure to post your finished top when completed.

Very nice block! However, why did you piece the yellow outside blocks? If you had just utilized a square for each, you would not have had a seam which distracts from the overall abstract block you created. The eye is pulled to the seams vs. the inside block. Tks. GiGi

I think you have come up with a new pattern! Good job. Very pretty block too.

I like your new block and not giving up but redesigning says you are a very positive, creative person. Mistakes are but a new opportunity. Keep up the good work!

This block came out of scraps of what I had on hand as I was on a retreat. On the sample of what the whole quilt would look like there are black lines that show where the seam are. I used Glass eye 2000 which is a program for stained glass and you can set the lead lines for different widths, I forgot to make them fine lines so they would not be dominant. On the actual square I don't think the seams show that much. I like to work with squares and try to stay away from bias edges, so I do the center lines the lay the new block on the next color to get the Boston blocks.

I appreciate all the support. Thanks

High praise for you ingenuity - you did indeed make lemonade from lemons. Nicely done.
