I think the blocks turned out lovely. Use a complimentary color to enhance them, since you already have so much black in the blocks.

Okay, WIP, this is a fabric book for my granddaughter for next Christmas. Have the pages cut and need to get them together.

Maybe some bright citron yellow, to transition between the orange and the green?

I don't think it's ugly, just not quite sure what it needs to go with it! I love stack and whack, hadn't tried it yet.

They say "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". She doesn't like it, but an awful lot of people here do. Maybe she just can't picture in her mind what it will look like after it is finished.

Wow that is truly hideous fabric! It's great when you can make something fabulous out of something horrendous lol

It is looking great!

I'm sure you'll love it when you do try it. This is my first attempt, and it took me about half the blocks before I could get my centers to suit me...however, I'm not ripping. I have two granddaughters that loves any color as long as it's black...and I make lap quilts for the Veterans Hospital, so there will be a taker regardless! I bought this fabric because it was on sale and because I knew the girls loved black...actually, I'm beginning to like it! LOL!
