Mopec that is the exact reason that I don't spend much time on here anymore. I noticed the drop in volume of participation when they changed the site. The ads make me want to write the advertiser and tell them that I will not be buying from them because of their choices in advertising.

I can block them from every, every website but this one. My husband loves a challenge and is computer savvy. He even gave up. Some days, I simply can't deal with it and so I don't. It is very frustrating and I have no idea why this website and none other gives so much trouble.

Maybe you meant to say you want to write to the owner of this board?
Here's how it works: The forum software has code written into it that directs Google (for example) to insert an ad into a space on the forum. When you log into the forum, Google will read your cookie history and load an ad based on what you've accessed or looked at recently. This is why nearly every website you go to now has a banner that says "click to accept cookies" or it doesn't allow you to access that website. This is also why, when my husband is researching fishing poles or some such thing, fishing pole ads will then show up in my Facebook feed. Grrrr.

to complain, email [email protected]
i won't promise changes, but they do pay attention to constructive feedback.
they are trying to generate the revenue it takes to keep the QB going.
