Ah, BlueBell, you are soooo close to the finish BUT! Please let us know when you've got that binding on and we'll call it done then. Good luck! Please post a pic of your quilt when you are able so we can all enjoy your finish!

I've finally put the first stitches in the binding on my scrappy quilt and I can assure everyone, mine won't be done as quickly as BlueBell's probably will be. I changed binding plans and am already sorry I did. I planned a scrappy one but switched to using the same fabric as the backing and am finding the weave to be a bit too loose. I'll have to watch out for that in future backings. I didn't realize it at the time I took it to the LA as I was just too thrilled to get it out of the house and quilted after 12 years. Must be more careful!

I wish I could send a picture but if you are familiar with the book, you have a good idea of what my quilt looks like. So even though I need to sew the binding, the quilt will be done before the end of the month. So can I call it a finish?

I enjoy looking at everyone's finishes. All beautiful and great inspiration.

Beautiful Granddaughter and beautiful quilt! Is it a UFO finish? If so, I'm ready with a Toot, Toot!

I started it when she was a baby, then decided I keep it for awhile then make it into a big girl quilt. I added the pink, purple and teal borders now to make it an oversized single.

That sounds like a solid UFO if ever I heard it! Toot, Toot! Congratulations on ANOTHER finish! And I'm sure your granddaughter will love it

Woohoo! Another UFO finish for me. Flowers in my Windows was a New Year's Eve mystery in 2014, and has been hanging in my "to be quilted" closet for over a year. I finally pulled it out, quilted it last month and just finished the binding today. It weighs a ton! It's about 80" square, but the backing is a red/grey/white zigzag pattern, and when I got ready to quilt it, I noticed that it showed through, despite using a white batting. So, I doubled up the (100% cotton) batting. It definitely doesn't show through now, but it makes for one heavy quilt. I guess it'll be a winter quilt
