Whoa! I don't check the board for a couple of days and look what I missed! Ok, there seems to be a desire for a challenge. How about a mini-challenge through July? Can we get one finish per day? We have 22 days left in the month, including today. Can we have 22 finishes done by midnight, July 31st? They'll need to be posted by August 3 to be counted. Anything posted today counts toward the goal. 22 quilters, 22!!!

And to start us off, I've got one little one. It's a cross stitch piece I stitched in 2005. I planned to give this little WH to my mom bc it's lyrics from a 40s song she used to hum all the time when I was a kid. Well, once stitched, I was unhappy with the antiqued linen I used. It looked stained, although it's actually made that way. Anyway, it just didn't seem good enough to give away. I found it a few years ago in a drawer and added the borders but only very quickly quilted it today. It'll hang in my sewing room. I him that little ditty all the time too. . Those are 4 inch Gingher's for scale.

One down. 21 to go!

Big or small, UFOs are UFOs. As long as they are something coming out of your UFO stack, they'll count!

I finally finished 3-quilts, 8-Holiday table runners, 2-sewing machine covers, 3-quilted tote bags, 3-photo pillows and 4-sew-together-bags. Have a long way to go.. But getting it done! I just need to clean up the sewing room.

Are you reporting all of them as UFOs? I'm giddy with anticipation to learn the answer! And if they are, how about some pix!

Janice, I heard that little diddy when I was a little girl (3rd grade in the 70s). There was a couple in my dad's church where he pastored who were "old" to me (probably in their 50s!) and he would sing that. I thought it was so cute , but thought they were nonsense words. I didn't realized it wasn't "maresee dotes and lamsy dotes and little lamsy divy, a kiddle ee divy too, wooden you?) I must have been a teenager before my parents told me the real words!

Anyway, your cross stitch is lovely. Sweet memory of your mom every time you see it, I'm sure.

When I first read your challenge, gotta say I thought you were saying one finish a day PER PERSON. Sheez a wiz, I thought! No way! Oh, some days, I just need to slow down and read for meaning. LOL
