I know that I may be in trouble early May when I go to the retreat. It is on the second floor of a quilt shop. But it is close to my birthday, so I might combine the birthday and travel exclusion in one sitting.
I used to always have a reason for getting material, but now I too only save it for special times, like travel and I don't mean just travel to a quilt shop, lol. Rob, really proud of you, you did very well, inspite of the thread which doesn't count. And you couldn't use up the stash if you didn't have thread.

There's a travel exclusion? Good thing I didn't know about that

Rob you are too funny, lol. Good thing I didn't know either, now if I could only afford to travel.

Oh Gosh, I'm sorry I didn't do my part while I was at the quilt show...I wonder what I can do to make up for this failure?..... How far do you have to travel for the exclusion to kick in? It takes a good 20-25 minutes to get to the nearest quilt shop from my house.....

Oh no, another exemption, first travel exemption now birthday exemption. I can't wait till August, I will take a trip often during that month, lol. I still say its not easy not buying material, I have made it till March with only 1 yard purchase, and that is major for me. Anyone that gets great deals and/or does well, either way, I think it is wonderful that people make the effort and manage some kind of control. Have fun with life.
