2019 Fabric Moratorium

Connie, that came out great! Mine is still in pieces. I got side-tracked with Christmas and Mom stuff.
I bought Beverly McCullough's new line, Vintage Keepsakes. Couldn't resist. She has colors and designs that rock my world! Being busy with my Mom I haven't done much of anything quilty and when the notice for it came in my inbox I treated myself

Thanks for the complements. It was dark last night when I took the picture and my lights just didn't do it justice as far as the vibrant colors. I may try to get another one this morning since we have some sunshine again.

Here is a better picture of the colors.
20th Mystery Quilt Train Ride
Also, my neighbor loved her homemade baby gifts and she made sure to tell me afterward that she would definitely use the receiving blanket. I told her to use it until it tatters and she knows where to find me to fix it. Lol!

Making a planned stop at the LQS in a week. My Guild is having a Barn Quilt class at the LQS and I will be there a total of 4 hours. DH gave me a $100 gift certificate Christmas. I want to get it gone and I'm purchasing backing. Since that is what I usually run to there to purchase, I think it's a safe bet that I'll use it. But I have been amazed so far this year. No fabric purchased. Thanks!

Great mystery quilt, RTeach! I've been going through bits and pieces as I work on a couple of littles for school fundraiser.. Have a small checkerboard with some embellishments all done, a mini flying geese strip waiting for the strips and borders to be sewn on, and a 60 degree Easter hexi made from someone else's leftovers. And while I was pulling out Easter fabrics I decided to make a simple tableruner that still in progress. i would love to share pictures but still can't find my camera and since I have a dumb phone....well you get the picture 14 inches of snow this weekend I should get something accomplished!

Uh oh. I’m off the wagon again. I didn’t fall off though, more like I willfully jumped off. There was a sale on Kona solids so I stood in front of my stash and only ordered the colors I don’t have, areas that were totally bare, like navy blue. My stash is still young enough that it has big bare spots like that. I do want to be in the moratorium, really I do, I don’t need any more lines of fabric but the only solids I had were Tula solids and white and black. Can I climb back on the wagon now?
