2020 UFO Challenge
#121
I"ll be working along with you all, too. I have a couple of big UFOs, and then a bunch of kids' quilt tops that are either panels I bought, or tops I put together for charity giving. They have been sitting around. Even if they are a short stack of coordinated fabrics, I'm considering them as UFOs, since I intended to use them together in a top. I'm working on a couple of those today....

Grann - couple of questions to ask yourself.
1 Do you like the colors of the fabrics?
2 Is everything already cut? If so, is there any way you can re-purpose the fabric? Make something totally different?
If not then pack it up and donate it someplace.(someone here may want to finish it, make them pay postage) Life is too short to work on something you hate! It still counts as a finish, it's out of the house.

Well, I finished my friend's quilts and got them in the mail to her, so now I will get back to UFO's. The one I am currently working on, I am discovering I do not care for it, don't care for the assembly methiod,or pretty much any part of it. So it is going to be a bear to finish up. I have 2 sets done, four blocks in each set, andI I believe 40 sets, so it is very slow going. It may get stuffed in a bag with all the directions and sent off to Goodwill. I see no point in working on something I hate when I have plenty of projects that I like. We are supposed to get a smattering of snow this weekend so sewing should be a good option.

Thanks Dedemac, I think it is going to get packed up and outta here. I may let it sit for a day or 2 just to make sure I still hate it. I was hoping to repurpose some of the pieces, but not sure I will like them any better in something else.

grannof6: Too bad I don't live closer because I like finishing other people's projects. They usually don't come with patterns though.
Dedemac: 'Let it go' will be stuck in my brain now especially when I am supposed to show Frozen to the special ed class I will be subbing in tomorrow. LOL!

Grann..ditto.what Dedemac said! Move on and find joy!
sewbiz...good luck....I have learned about you that you are a quick quilter. You always amaze me on what you accomplish in a short period of time....and always beautiful. Go get um...
The Daisy quilt is assembled and I'm prepping batting and backing for LA. Too much white for me to attempt any quilting on my domestic...so off it will go.

Jordan, I started out as a lurker in my UFO beginning. I soon realized I was a UFO'er and completed a thing or two. I just can't get the hang of posting pix
NZquilter, it looks great, that's what I want to learn is "how to post pix' keep going on your project and it will all come together
Teen, I know you will have that finished in no time cause you don't like UFO's
Have a happy sew day everyone

Good day everyone. I complete my 2 Black batik twin quilts. Both were started over 5 - 10 years ago. the 1st one was from a Batik block swap from this board. The 2nd one, a multicolored batik with black fabrics in a diamond rectangle shape. At the time I really like black, but have since out grown the black background. I plan to give them away to my G-Nephews. Now on to my Halloween UFO. I will post pics when I can figure out how to post pics.
