Here is my father’s quilt. Looking at the picture I wish I would have arraigned the blocks a bit different, but you don’t see it as well in real life.

Finished Begonia Boom. New computer issues or I’d post the picture in album. Anyway, count one for June 2022.

Hello everyone, I know once again I fail down the rabbit hole and not doing much piecing here. But I am loving what I am seeing what you Ladies are completing. So, instead of piecing or sewing I've just been hand embroidering and count cross stitching. I started my stamped embroidery and I laid it aside and started the cross stitching. I got one finished, another to the outlining and one more started. So, at this rate I might as well be piecing, well everyone enjoy your summer and try to stay cook

Happy quilting--cherryb

I love counted cross stitch, but every time I do it I develop carpal tunnel. I’m a bit obsessive and I can’t seem to limit myself time wise. I’ll work on it for hours at a time. My Dr. Was like “you have carpal tunnel and we will send you to an orthopedic Dr and he will do surgery and cut this to make more room for the nerve.”

I told him I would just stop cross stitching and it healed. I miss it though.

One tip, don’t drink and cross stitch. It takes hours to figure out the next day when you realize you can’t count drunk. At least I can’t.

Default Two UFO's for June!

Two for June! The larger quilt is finished and ready to donate to Project Linus. The smaller quilt is a UFO that was given to me in a box of fabric from a marvelous quilter who passed away from a brain condition that resulted in her losing her ability to quilt with this level of skill. I cleaned it up and added the binding so it can be proudly displayed in my sewing room.

Hello everyone, it's getting close for VQW and I am excited for all of you piercers and quilters, it can be a fun weekend for all.

Quilting Raven thank you for that one tip you shared with me. I can't do much wine sipping cause I'm a Type II and my numbers have been kind of crazy high lately.

WMUT those are some real beauties you got finished up there, I can't wait to see what else you finish with

I'll be following UFOers and stay safe--cherrybsixty

Yes, cherrybsixty, the upcoming virtual quilt weekend is a perfect time to dive into our our UFOs and bring one to the finish line. My quilting group has a work day on Saturday and I plan on sandwiching UFOs, 7 of them! My vow is to not make any new quilt tops in the month of July but rather to quilt and bind those I already have. It isn't even July and I am longing to try patterns that I see or use fabric that speaks to me.

Great finishes Quilting Raven. That’s okay on finding 2 more tops. I found a top last week that I will finish in July and plan to give away to someone. Yes it’s a UFO.

Quilting Raven, I just love your quilt pic #191. Your Dad should love it. I also like your comment #194 = drinking and cross stitch counting. LOL.

WMUTeach, such lovely finishes. I’m sure you will think of your friend every time you look at the quilt. Pretty Linus quilt too.

I vowed to do finish 7 UFO's in July. Here is #1. It is a 40 X 40 donation quilt for Project Linus. I needed a bit of motivation, so I chose a small one to start with. One and done, now on to #2!
