Well I'm up and moving already today. Got my "neutrals" (or in my case, school bus yellow) cut. I'm making squares and then drawing the lines and cutting apart for my HST.
I'm really happy when she allows us to use all the dark/medium blues together. One of my favorite pieces in the whole bag of home dyes was just right in-between the dark and medium. I can use it when we don't have to keep the contrast and so I shall.
So far the pace has been pretty easy and reasonable, still time for people to join in. I'd say one day to choose your fabrics and one day for each step will still let you get your dinner cooked and other chores done.

Unless you are a mom with little kiddos, then there is no hope! My sewing time is nearly nothing now. Putting borders on a quilt in one day is a good sewing day for me.

Ah, the days of the littles Yes, some of you have your hands full of squirmy young 'uns. Quilts and fabric can wait, children only have now. In some ways my chronic insomnia has been good to me, my sewing time was 10:00 pm until midnight. Of course, getting up at 5:00 am was sort of awful but it gave me the 4 hours that was all I got.

Sorry about your insomnia, Iceblossom! My mom had it and I saw how hard getting to sleep was for her. She would be exhausted, but couldn't sleep.
I'm downloading each clue and might chip away at it over the next year. I'm still quilting a bit here and there, just not everyday. It's all just a season, so I'm enjoying living the moment to the fullest with the little ones. But I did tell Hubby that, once the kids have grown and moved out, not to expect me to go try to find a job! I have too many quilts on my bucket list to keep me busy! Stay-at-home-mom will become stay-at-home-quilter.

good plan NZ. In my busiest times I always made sure I had 15 minutes good sewing time. You can get anything done that way.
Well. For Pete's Sake.
Cut my strips, sewed them together, Ironed them so nicely open.
Grabbed my Easy Angle Ruler. So now I have them all pressed shut nicely and seam ripper at the ready
What an idjot. Good thing I'm only making 1/3 size. But my 30's fabrics are so cheerful, any fabric tiime is good time.

I found this helpful for making the HST's. I'm going to use my Bloc Loc to trim. I think I'll use 3.5 to be sure.
