MiraB ... oh so lovely. There's something about the ultra-femininity of pink toned down with browns that make them a perfect combo IMHO. Are you going to keep with the traditional block order? and have your quilt sewn together as you go? Or put the sashings on two sides and decide on placements later?

Keep them coming, MiraB ... the more there are, the prettier it is going to get!

My DJ will not be sticking to the conventional order.
Plus, I am not going to do a traditional sashing.
... haven't decided what yet.

I must ask as I see these beauties--Was the original DJ sewn by hand? Our friend DDamsel would so enjoy piecing these if they were.

Yes, I believe they were sewn by hand.

Where is our DDamsel??
ITA ... she must get on with it and get started in DJ land.
Besides, I believe she already has the fabric purchased!

There you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soooooooooooooooo DDamsel ... did you buy that TOT fabric for your DJ??
I think you did ............ so get it out and get going on those little lovelies!

It would go lovely with pink too ..... then you could tantalize us with your DJ in charcoal/black with pink while MiraB has us drooling over her brown and pink one.

Oh come on .......... you know you wannnnnaaa!

QuiltE I may take the sashing out into the border, that is an option and one I really like using, otherwise the sashing looks like it has been chopped off. I purchased 6 yards of the mottled pink so should have enough

DDamsel please join me we can compare pinks and browns, just a pity we don't live closer together or we could share the stash

Yes! I did buy fabric.... no turning back now! I chose a flesh pink to go with my charcoal black for two smaller quilts out of the squares blocks, and I bought several green/blues for two smaller quilts out of the wedges blocks
NO I am not going to do 4.5 squares at this point, Im going to start with wedges and enlarge at least 50%. I DID get my software in the mail I dont know what to do with it I finally figured out how to print the patterns for PP and in the correct size so for now I will leave it at that!

THANKS QuiltE you PUSHY Dear!!!
