pretty....yes I was trying to find a geranium print with a leaf for the back, but will probably stay with the black and white checkerboard that is in my stash....better for the budget

Thanks so much, kiddo... I love seeing all the variety-- the different 'takes' on the colors and the fabrics everyone's chosen to use.

Just finished my Broken Dishes #2 blocks. Tomorrow I'll tackle the Broken Dishes #3... they only need to be assembled. Didn't know if I would be able to keep up with this Quilt-a-long, but so far I have. I have so many piles of blocks now... I'm kinda anxious to get them put together into a 'top' before I lose any of them!

ETA: My colors look really weird in this photo! I couldn't get my camera to flash so this is evening lamplight-- kind of 'yellowed'. And OOPS... I see a mistake. Can you find it?

I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't told me to look.

I can't find a mistake but it's 12:30 am and time for me to get to bed. My eyes aren't focusing so much right now. I'm still working on step 3. I have 46 blocks made now. The weekend is pretty open so I should be able to continue working. Step 3 has been fun for me. Finished my shopping today so now I need to wrap gifts.

Finished clue #3! Woohoo! Tomorrow, back to clue #1.

Podunk Princess, your green fabric is so beautiful. I love that little black bird. I'm looking forward to seeing your blocks all together.

Default Keeping organisized

I just thought I would pass a tip on that I have taught my ladies in my groups, to keep a quilt organized when making up parts of the blocks use shoe boxes! If you look at the pic below you can see just how useful they are. When getting them I use parcel tape to strengthen the edges as I know I am going to use them for a long time, I use labels, and a pencil for keeping track of the pieces made.

If you are lucky enough to get them with the little silica (name?) bags in leave them in and they will keep your fabric fresh and the best bit about the boxes, they are FREE

When a quilt is finished a fresh label is used and away you go, now how organized is that, umm won't show you my shelf with my UFOs on!
