Yea, Blue Bell!!!!! So proud of you for finishing that beauty. It's been an albatross for you, I know, so I'm sure it feels awesome. So much work went into that thing. So happy for you! Please share a picture and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a good showing at the museum. No doubt it's spectacular!! Woohoo for you!!

OK, I cheated, I only made 50 blocks, the easy ones, instead of 108. It made a nice lap size. It looks very similar to the quilt on the cover of the book. I even had some of the fabrics that were used. I am a true copy cat!

Lol....well, yes..50 is a lot less but it is still a lot of work....even if they were the easy ones. You crack me up. Cheater? I think not. Your quilt..your choice. I've been know to resize my quilt tops, too, by eliminating rows etc. It is still a beautiful quilt if it resembles the cover.....and the fabrics are so pretty in that quilt. It's a win win...

Well, it is done and that is an accomplishment.
I belong to a small group that has made a few blocks. Guess they have no intention of completing this quilt. One lady made pot holders with her blocks. Another lady made 29 but needs only one block to complete hers for a wall hanging, and she used black and white fabrics. So with quilting, we can do our own thing! And each and every quilt is a work of art/heart.

Thanks ladies!!!
Blue Bell, congrats, even with 50 blocks, it doesn't matter. It's yours and you decide. I started a Farmers Wife but found out I don't like the Hird blocks! So I mixed them with Sylvia blocks and made a Sylvia the Farmers Bride quilt with them

Anael, your blocks just keep getting better and better. I really love your color way also. I think those ice cream colors are calling my name this year. But, I will have to hold off till next year to buy anymore fabrics. Which is fine. I have plenty here for several more projects!! I just need to get busy. You ladies have the right idea. Buy the patterns, use up more stash!!
Teen I love your finished GTSB's. Out of all the Kingwell patterns, I think that one calls my name the most and will probably end up purchasing that before the end of the year. You ladies sure have inspired me. I will have to see If I can find the Facebook group.
