They are breathtaking IRL.
The QOV presentation last night was a tearjerker. Very emotional but amazing. I couldn't take pictures with the tears in my eyes but they are going to send me some pictures. Obviously, I don't blubber while providing counseling to vets...only after session...lol....so last night was cathartic and I could let loose for all the Warriors. He was so sweet and was honored so beautifully by the organizers. Really cool evening... I'm exhausted!

During the spring and fall migration of the snow geese, we get a lot of Bald Eagles coming with. They follow the flock as it's easy picking with the weak and old that attempt the trip. They are neat birds, and quite large.

In the fall the eagles fly from the River (Mississippi) and overwinter here. I noticed a couple flying overhead yesterday. The turkey vultures have migrated and will return next spring. A lot of deer hunting happens in our area and the vultures and eagles scavenge the leftover carcasses. I had never seen an eagle in the wild until about 40 years ago and saw one on the way to town one early spring morning. Now it is a very common sight. What a treat to live on the flyway, MB!

here are the two I did this morning. I probably won't have much time to sew until Thursday, but the roof is complete so next weekend I can plan on getting lots of sewing in - Yea!
I think I have one or two more sets of 12" blocks, then I move on to the 9" group.
