This board is so intense I can't get enough! I have read most of the present 41 pages. Sounds like a sewing circle in one small room. Everyone is so gleeful. I feel like I am finally in the right place as a member of the quiltingboard. I feel I am surrounded by caring people who treasure doing many of the same things.

I felt the same way. I've only been on the board for under a month but I feel like I have a whole bunch of new friends. Everyone on here is friendly and helpful and, well, the list goes on! Welcome to Board.

Thanks Jolo. I just did binding last night and I had trouble with mitres on the back side. Front side did okay. I'm dreading binding on the first quilt as it turned out to be king size. My poor quilter person had to take the borders off. I didn't know you were suppose to square it up before adding a border. No wonder it grew. I'll have to figure out how to private message you soon.

Looking to be adopted, if anyone dares... really need advice and the occasional kick in the pants.
I live in southern Norway (Kristiansand) and my children and grandchildren live in Lancaster, Pa. I have been sewing most of my life, and discovered quilting a year ago.

oh pooh - I was hoping she would be my new best friend. I took a PP class from our extension center. It was to be a table runner and out of the 4-part block I only finished 1. It was enough for me to know I LIKE PP and dying to know more.

sewcrafty have you adopted someone already? I'd love to be adopted. Now that I'm back to quilting 30yrs later - it's like learning to ride a bike again. I get so exicited each time I see a new pattern. My first quilt was/is a Lone Star that I HP/HQ and it's only 1/2 done. My arthritis has kicked in but I'm determined to finish. In the mean time I work on machine quilting and really like the PP. You all are talking Greek but I'm starting to catch on with all the acronyms. Please help if you're still available. :P
