Not to worry, just like UFOs, this challenge never ends. We just change the year to a new thread and carry right on. Glad to hear y'all are already planning to join us next year. :)

Late Bloomer
Hi All! If it is not against rules, I'd like to hop on at this late date. I have been working on my own UFO challenge this year and would love the support given. I'm very slow at making quilts. I teach during the school year and my energy and progress goes down according to the job. Quilting is literally my therapy. I can go in the quilt room and I literally do not think about anything upsetting or stressful. This year I must use this tool more, and make more quilts in the process!

Quilting Nonnie, You are most welcome and never fear, we have few rules other than those of the board in general and that we are here to support, encourage and cheer for all progress. Each year we maintain this thread, only changing the date, and we can never have too many cheerleaders!!!

I didn't finish before my goal of July but finished my Labyrinth on Sunday August 3rd. This UFO had been started a year ago. I've only got 7 more UFOs to finish my 2014 list of 26.
|
bcross: Your having a wonderful year! I really admire those Labyrinth quilts, did you post a picture on the Board? I've got 5 more months to finish something this year. Hope to sandwich them all in the next month then start quilting. Congrats on your finishes!
|
Quilting Nonnie, welcome. This is a great group of quilters and the best support system for encouraging each other while we all work through our UFO's. I look forward to seeing your quilts.

bcross, congratulations on completing so many UFO's this year. I thought my 14 was daunting but 26 is awesome and a great goal.

Welcome to the group to all those willing to admit they have UFOs! Please try to post pictures so we can ooh and aah over your quilts and so I can count them up to add to our total each month. We're getting a lot done!
jwardknits - your quilt is just beautiful! I think I'm going to have to do some research on mystery quilts. Don't know how that works... My first one for August. A friend gave me a panel that I had no idea what to do with. The blocks tend to be odd sizes on panels. I decided to do a 9-patch pizazz, thanks to a brilliant suggestion by someone here on the Board! |
michelle--great way to use a panel so it doesn't "look" like a panel! What size did this finish?
|
Michele: Your finish is so creative, love what you did.
