Oh Ouch, Conchalea! These are trying times for sure. Keeping my fingers crossed that things work out for your move.

Congratulations on your finish Cherrybsixty and on being able to post pics!

Christinelf- that will be a truly special quilt and a wonderful way to celebrate 40 years.

stay safe everyone, I just saw a news flash indicating severe storms are expected across the midwest today.

Since I finished, for the most part, the Porcelain top yesterday and prepped it for the longarm, I am ready for the next project. I guess technically it is not a UFO, but it is a kit I've had for probably over a year. It is an Angela Walters kit I got really cheap on Bluprint. I got the LCs turned into HSTs, am cutting them apart now. Am thinking I should be able to get it mostly done today if I stay off the computer and away from the TV.
Isolation is no big deal for me, as I pretty do that on a daily basis, having no need to go out and be annoyed by the general public.
Got a message on the cellphone that heavy storms and heavy rain is on the way. I'll stay in the basement and sew.

2 March UFOs finished!

3 Attachment(s)
Hey all, I have a finish for March, finally! It counts as two since I decided to mash two UFOs together. The first UFO (part 1) in this is about 4 years old and consisted of the background fabric which I hand dye-painted and then did some decorative stitching and couching on. I could never decide what else it needed until I set the circles on my design wall. They are from a Danny Amazonas class that I took last summer and realized that I would never make the quilt that we were supposed to make from all those collaged circles. It went into the UFO pile and I fully expected that it would stay there forever. But, when I pulled part 1 off the UFO pile I realized that the collaged circles would be the perfect thing to add. Hence, 2 UFOs off the pile. Yay!!! It's about 56" long x 42" wide. The first two are details and the third is the full quilt. The colors on the first and third are more true to real life than the middle pic- at least on my screen.

Thanks for looking,
Rob

A two-fer Rob, congratulations to you and thanks for the kind words to me. I haven't mastered the process, but I am on the road. The novelty of it is over, and I can keep working on it (loading pix). I am loving your bubbles

Stay safe everyone

That'sn a really cool piece, Rob. Congrats on two finishes with one quilt!

I'm working on a UFO today. Quilting the monster on my sit-down. Wish I had not used cotton batting on such a big quilt... it's like a wrestling match. Hope to have it to show in a few days.

Rob...wow.....very cool quilt... You got some time invested in the quilting details for sure...

I am still working on a WIP. Taking longer than expected but I'm enjoying it. Before I moved, I use to sew a lot more but new home means more DIY projects...Today, we built me a gardening table..yea! With age, it's hard on my body staying bent over or crouching...lol... We saved alot of the building scraps from the home build so my ideas are exhausting my hubbie...lol..

Praying you'all stay safe from harm both virus and weather...

You're a true artist! .. and two for one. That shows real creativity.

Hope everyone is safe and occupied during these interesting times. Conchalea sorry about the house, but you will get thru it, we can send you some fabric if you want? What a great way to reduce our stash! Rryder that is a awesome finish, they just blend like you planned it that way. It reminds me of marbles or planets rolling on a race track.

I probably will not have a finish this month, but there are still 2 days left. We have given up on watching a lot of TV with all the doom and gloom, DH is in his man cave (second garage) and I am cleaning the house. We were talking about all the people starting to do the Y2K thing again and then looked around our house, if the lights go out we light our oil lamps, can listen to music on the Victrola. I can sew on the treadle or with hand crank machines, over 50% of DH's wood working tool are old hand tools. Our stove is gas, I know how to bake and have stuff canned from the garden last year, but the fridge and freezer might be a problem if its off to long.
There is a way around anything!
Smile!

I finished a UFO today! A big one. It's a blue and white queen sized quilt... pattern from Quilted Twins. Will struggle to get a picture of it and upload it if I can. But for now, go ahead and count it as one finish. Thanks.

Rob: Great finish! I love your patience and creativity.

sewbizgirl: Looking forward to seeing a picture of your finish. I haven’t checked out the Quilted Twins website lately.
