Sounds great givio, if you need florals or greens Let me know. I don't have too many yellows either but some. I'm getting too many quilts here and that's why I decided to put 2 together, plus way cheaper than backing for each one:)

Irene I love the brown's. I have lots of browns too :)
Kathryn love the reds! Judy love how you are using red as your background color and Blue as your primary I am sure it will be stunning! Jane another beautiful red center and white background! Jane I think your idea would work with the scrappy florals and greens as your secondary color. Here is my Step # 2: My background squares have to much color in them, I think but I cut all of them all ready so sticking with it. I am a Bonnie Hunter follower so the scrappier the better right;) |
I'm swapping some fabric with Trish B and am anxious to see what she sends!

I like your colors, Jaba. I'm using brown and red.

Jane I am using pink as by secondary color :)

I have not decided on color scheme yet. I have so many scraps that I think of one and then bam, find something else..lol One of my sons has been asking for a red, white and blue quilt and the other sons wife wants a red, black and white quilt. I myself would like a 30's yellow, 30's green and creamy off white. What to do?!?! I will decide soon and report back.

Right now I'm thinking primary - red secondary - blue and background white

Part 2 is done, except that I didn't stitch the star points together yet. I'll probably do all the block piecing at the end when I can look at the whole thing and make any corrections so this isn't the final arrangement.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...-pt-2-copy.jpg I can already see one or two darker fabrics I will remove and substitute in the background, such as the piece at the bottom, just left of center. It's got to go. And the two really dark blues on the left side, those must be separated. Again, not the permanent placement but just showing I'm trying to keep up! So the final color choices will be blue, cream/white background and yellow/gold. |
