this is the first quilt that I quilted. I started out with the idea of stars in the blocks and different colored thread but ended up doing stars in the red center and lines everywhere else. I did donate it at work for a raffle for the Golden Age games that Omaha Veterans will be hosting in August.

Put a border on mine today and got it all ironed, the backing ready and it's on the long arm ready to quilt. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm loving these tops! Thanks for taking the time to share them.

It's sure fun to see all y'all tops to completion. I honestly can't pick a favorite. I loved the pink/teal ones then the red/blues, then that yellow/red popped up. I love my mini swoon but I think I want to make a big one!!! This has been a fun thread. :D

They are all so beautiful, now that they are done!

I am plugging along, I think step 8 is next week, I guess I am behind, but enjoying the journey. Everyone completed one I have seen is awesome. Who knew a block could grown into a beautiful quilt. :)

SheriR - with all due respect and with every ounce of humor you can muster - when you posted your comment, I read it out loud w/ a proper Texan draw. LOL
So much fun!!! You're such a pleasure. I can't wait to see your Giant Scrappy Swoon. I'm so glad everyone is enjoying the quilt along. I've certainly enjoyed sharing it. So many wonderful interpretations and color combinations - - just what quilting is all about. For those of you who are still working, keep at it!!! Keep posting those pics!! |
Still got to get mine quilted... it's all sandwiched and ready to go! Maybe this week.
